個人看法與心得：
In World Population Ageing report 2016, the world's
population aged over 60 will increase 56% from 2015 to 2030.
According to national statistics , the percentage Of the elderly
population >65 years of age in Taiwan has increased from 7%
in 1993 to 14.05% in 2018,and will likely reach 20% by 2025,
bringing Taiwan into the ranks of the “super-aged” societies.
Elderly patients with chronic diseases and population with
disability will increase proportionally. Taiwan already has
338,000 people with long-term care needs and 53.9% are
seniors above the age of 65 years. Due to the fast growth of the
aging population, the needs and demands of long-term care
services have become urgent and significant.
The Taiwan government devised the Ten-Year
Long-Term Care Project at the societal level to provide
appropriate services to people with disabilities; thereby
mitigating the burden of family caregivers in 2007, and in the
end of 2016, the Executive Yuan audited and approved the
Long-term Care 10-Year Plan 2.0. Long-term Care 10-Year
Plan 2.0 has expanded the categories of people who qualify for
these services.
