” Since Stephen met Jane, he received meticulous care which
enabled him to be totally devoted in his physics theory and not
need to worry about his daily life in a single moment. This
reminded me of one of my nerdy friends, Eugene. He majored
in Physics, before he met her wife, he got a slovenly
appearance. Also, whenever I visited him, his house was in a
mess, there would be an unfinished porridge on the table which
was perhaps already placed there for a couple days. Until one
day, during his PhD degree in German, he met a girl who
majored in accountant. She was a considerate woman that
could spend all day clean up his environment, and took care of
every daily chore in his life. After they married, he got his PhD
and now he is working as a quantum physicist in Q station in
Microsoft. Of course, his achievement cannot relate to
Hawking’s achievement, but this movie let me recall Eugene’s
story.

I remember in Hawking’s master piece “Brief-Answers-to
-the-Big-Questions”, he said “I have spent my life travelling
across the universe, inside my mind.” I think Jane’s influence
contribute to the greatness of the achievement.
