Introduction

Allergy Center

Pediatric Allergy and Asthma Center

Allergy is one of the common disorders which affects children, adolescents and adults. Among children in Taiwan, 10 to 20 % suffer from asthma, 40-50 % suffer from allergic rhinitis, and 5-10 % suffer from atopic dermatitis. Children and adults ail in different ways, and, therefore, many differences exist between the care of adults and that of children.

For the best care for allergy and asthmatic patients, Chang Gung pediatric allergy and asthma center was established in 2006. Our center is characterized by well -organized health education, a comfortable medical environment, professional service, and, most importantly, empathy.

Our Mission

        After establishment, we always shouldered heavy burden of patients care, education, and research. Regarding the patients care, our center constantly insisted on the right therapeutic manners for asthma and allergic disorder, and introduced the most advanced concept and therapeutic choice to patients. On the other hand, healthy education is always the hall marker of our center. For education, we had detailed training programs for medical students, resident, and fellow doctors, and had trained many experienced allergist in Taiwan. In the aspect of research, we had many researching papers in the SCI journals in recent years, and our center had became a key contributor to allergy and asthma research in Taiwan .

Our Honor

     The quality of our center had been examined, and our great effort was also been highly appreciate. In recent years, we had honor from symbol of national quality, a most reliable authentication approve in Taiwan, for several times. Because of our effort on healthy education, we were selected by Tau-Yuan city government for Tau-Yuan asthma friendly school plan since last year.

        Our ultimate goal is to establish a friendly environment for allergy and asthmatic children, which consists of right concept of these diseases, and affect the national policy about children’s health.
