Early Intervention Center

Our center provides early diagnosis and early intervention for children and toddlers with developmental delays. We offer not only rehabilitation treatments, but also assistance in social welfare, and special education. In terms of rehabilitation treatments, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and music therapy for these children. When needed, botulinum toxin injection and rhizotomy can be applied for the treatment of spasticity. We also offer services and consultations for the prescription of splinting, wheelchairs, and prosthesis.

Physical Therapy

We use the non-medical treatment strategies of sports, instrumental, and manipulation techniques to assist the developmental children to improve their musculoskeletal and neural behavior coordination capabilities. Through these treatment strategies, better motor control can also be achieved by improving their sensori-motor and cardiopulmonary functions. With improved motor functions, the ultimate goal will be helping these children to achieve maximum independent activities of daily living.

Occupational Therapy

Pediatric occupational therapy uses games and specially designed activities to assist the developmental children in maximizing their potentials. The goal will be to improve "sensory integration" in these children, helping them to use their bodies effectively within the environment. The potential in which the brain can process multiple sensory inputs into usable functional outputs is believed to improve as well after occupational therapy.

Speech Therapy

Depending on the capability of each developmental delay child, speech therapy will be meticulouslydesigned to suit each individual child. Individual or group speech therapy can be arranged for these children. Tailored games and activities will be arranged to boost the verbal comprehension and communication skills in these children.

Psychological Therapy

The behavior, mood, learning capability, and intellectual development of a developmental delay child are carefully assessed before providing the most suitable psychological therapy. Psychological therapy is set to improve the attention span, memory, mood control, cognitive function, and social interactions in these children. Proper parent education is also significant in improving the children’s disability associated with psychological problems.

Innovative Rehabilitation Treatments

• Multi-sensory treatment：Distinctive colors, lighting, and music are used to stimulate children’s sensor-neural coordination. Children become better acquainted with the environment after receiving these stimulation treatment strategies.

• Art and Music Therapies：Art and music therapies have already been documented to be able to improve the cognitive function, attention span, social and environmental adaption in children with developmental delay.
