Rehabilitation of the Neuromuscular System

Diseases in this category include stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, herniated intervertebral discs, spondyloarthritis, and narrowed neuroforamen etc…
When the onset time of stroke and spinal cord injury episodes is under one year, it is often referred to as the golden rehabilitation treatment period. Therefore, it is recommended that patients should commence their rehabilitation treatments as soon as possible once their medical conditions have stabilized. Based on patient’s general condition, every individual’s treatment plan can be different. For physical therapy, treatment strategies such as ambulation training and assistive device training (such as how to use a crutch and wheelchair correctly) can be arranged. For occupational therapy, strategies such as postural training, balance training, body transfer skills, activities of daily living, and the fabrication of needed splints can be arranged. If patient’s speech and swallowing functions are damaged after a stroke episode, speech and swallowing trainings need to be arranged as well.

Rehabilitation of the Musculoskeletal System

For patients suffering from bony fractures and sequelae of bony fractures, we recommend that rehabilitation treatments should be started as soon as possible. The goals of rehabilitation treatments in these patients are to prevent muscle atrophy and joint contractures.
In our outpatient setting, we often see patients with soft tissue disorders such as bursitis, ganglion cysts, tendinitis, muscle strain, ligament sprain, and adhesive capsulitis. In our clinic, we are equipped with the most modern and advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound machine. This machine can be used not only for diagnostic purposes; it can also be used to perform accurate ultrasound-guided injection and aspiration procedures.

Pediatric Rehabilitation

If you have a child suspected with developmental delay, we recommend that you bring your child to our outpatient clinic as soon as possible. We are regarded as one of the best centers for early intervention in Taiwan. The Taipei city government has just awarded us with an "outstanding" award for early intervention.
If your child also has problems such as disarticulation, torticollis, and foot disorders, we recommend that you bring your child to our outpatient clinic as soon as possible.
