Dr. Lun-Jou Lo is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, specializing in cleft lip and palate, orthognathic and facial bone contouring surgery. He is now serving as a Professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Dr. Lo graduated from Medical School at National Taiwan University. He received his residency training in general surgery and in plastic and reconstructive surgery. After 4 years of intensive surgical practice and training in cleft lip and palate as well as cranio-maxillo-facial surgery under the guidance of Dr. Noordhoff and Dr. Yu-Ray Chen, he continued his learning in the St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University, Missouri, US. In St. Louis, he spent 2 years working with Dr. Jeffrey Marsh in the field of craniofacial surgery and 3-dimensional medical imaging study.

Dr. Lo works closely with the craniofacial team which further comprises of plastic surgeons, orthodontists, speech-language specialists, social workers, nursing specialists and coordinators. He has focused his studies in 3-dimential imagining which has proven to help increase treatment outcome.

Until present, he has published more than 100 peer-review scientific articles and authored several book chapters. He has also given numerous lectures and performed surgical demonstrations at various international societies and centers and received honorable awards from countries like Mongolia and Thailand.
