the follow up party he pretended as Lily again that made his
truly mind awake.

Einar is brave. He chooses to be himself, not afraid of the
society pressure, and facing the most challenging operation in
that time to be what he want, although the complication took
him away eventually. And his wife, Gerda, was fully support
her husband, that was rare in tradition, or maybe because she is
a artist who’s thought is much wider than others. This movie
can give us a glimpse and reflection what transsexual have to
face in that time, and still suit for today’s society.

對醫學、社會方面影響：

I think in current society, people in the world become
more and more able to accept the people like Eniar that we call
the group of LGBT ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender).
Because of them, we know that there’s other people that love
with same gender, or have different gender identity than us. In
ancient, it’s hard for them to speak out, because they would be
thought as heresy and might be dead for this. Just like Einar, he
was thought as psychiatric patient and underwent some sort of
radiation therapy which we think it is hilarious now. But his
wife, Gerda, is willing to accept his gender identity and help
