Technologies demonstrates the breadth of the challenges and
the difficult trade-offs entailed in reaping the benefits of
technological innovation while minimizing possible harms.

However, technologies will progress in uncertain ways
during their development. A new discovery or a convergence
between research areas may offer novel but usually
unanticipated opportunities. Therefore, which technological
possibilities are being realized or probable, or are merely
plausible or highly speculative, is always inevitably a central
question in these fields. This in turns determines which ethical
issues being raised make immediate attention necessary

Nothing is perfect. Emerging medical technologies may
certainly be associated with ethical and societal concerns.
However, as we all understand, emerging innovative medical
technologies of the past do improve health and save thousands
of lives nowadays. Thus, what we have to do is to fix the
problems raised by the emerging medical technologies, rather
than to protest against them.
