This center is now led by Professor Chau-Ting Yeh. An outstanding team of this center has strong ability in virus detection. They also provide clinical service for detection of hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus and various mutants.

By the effort of Professor Chia-Ming Chu, the research about chronic hepatitis B is world-famous, especially the natural history and treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
【Hepatoma research center】
For the hepatoma research, Professor Deng-Yn Lin and Professor Shi-Ming Lin are in charge with the clinical research and Prof. Chen-KungChou and Kwang-Huei Lin are for the basic research. The aims of these researches are focusing on diagnosis and treatment of hepatoma.
