The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Medical Library was founded in 1974. Our collection is devoted primarily to the support of the clinical medicine, medical education, and medical research activities of the Medical Center.

The Library houses about 39,065 volumes, subscribes to nearly 102 medical journals in print and 29,440 e-journals.

The library is located on the B1 of General Building C (綜合大樓, C棟) in the Lin-Kou Medical Center. The library covers 1,090 square meters and includes:

Books area: All Books except textbooks are here.
Textbooks area: Textbooks selected by medical specialties are available.
Circulation desk:You can borrow, return and renew materials and get interlibrary loan documents here.
Current periodical area: All periodicals of the current year are here.
Recommended books area:Display new books and some specific books.
Information retrieval area: Providing computers for readers to use scanners and search the WebPAC, E-resources, and the Internet.
Laptop area: Seats with power outlet for laptop are available.
Library staff office: Librarians' office.
Reading area: We provide several Chinese-language newspapers.
Meeting room: Two meeting rooms are available in the multimedia center to project medical DVD or Meeting. One can accommodate 3 to 20 people, another one can accommodate 2 to 8 people. It must be reserved at the circulation desk.
Photocopy room: 6 photocopy machines are here.

1.Employee of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.(Employee ID Card required)
2.Visitors or Fellows who have filed on personnel archive system.
3.Faculty, Staff and Students of Chang Gung University

Periodicals：2 days
DVD：5 days
Reference books：do not circulate
Textbooks：do not circulate
(Note：one copy of any textbook in the book area can be borrowed)
Overdue Materials
1.Grace period for 2 days, but fines must be paid.
   (1).Books：NT$5 per day
   (2).DVD：NT$30 per day
2.No grace period
   Periodicals：NT$ 5 per day

Books that are currently on loan or books new received will on display desk for one week can be reserved from WebPAC.

Books can be renewed once for 14 days; audiovisual materials and computer software cannot be renewed.

(2) Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a service for users to obtain material not available in the Medical Library and accepts applications to photocopy books and journal articles from other domestic and overseas libraries. The service is only for employees of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The applicant should fill out an application form at the website(https://ndds.stpi.narl.org.tw/).

NT$5 per page + NT$20 per article
Urgent(1 day)：
NT$5 per page + NT$40 per article (Taipei & Tao-Yuan)
NT$15 per page + NT$40 per article (Other cities)
Overseas Library：
National Library of Medicine (4 days)：NT$350 per article
The British Library(7-14days)：NT$450 per article

(3) Photocopy Service 　

6 photocopy machines are located in the library, they are operated via a easycard system.

(4) Color Photocopy Service

The library offers color photocopying and printing service performed by the library staff at circulation desk. Cost is NT$ 4 per page(A4).

(5) Reference Consultant Service

Reference librarians are available to answer readers’ questions and provide reference, bibliographic and consultative services to help readers get access to the library’s resources and other computer-based information.

(6) Internet

The library provides computer equipment for readers to connect to the Internet only to search for academic information. Entertainment, BBS, E-mail and personal document editing are not permitted.

(7) Scanner

The library provides OCR systems in Chinese and English formats, and a scanner for readers to scan documents, pictures and slides.

(8) WiFi Access

The library provides Free WiFi Access Service, You can click here for user's guideline.
