The center director is Prof. Chau-Ting Yeh (M.D. Ph.D.). There were two sub-groups in the center when the center was first established in 2007. One year later, the center was re-organized and the number of subgroups increased to five.

1. Clinical hepatitis subgroup: Lead by Dr. Tai DI (senior adviser: Professor Liaw YF).
2. Clinical hepatocellular carcinoma subgroup: Lead by Dr Lin SM.
3. Clinical liver transplantation subgroup: Lead by Dr Lee WC.
4. Liver regeneration subgroup: Lead by Dr Yeh CT.
5. Molecular Biomarker subgroup: Lead by Dr Lin KH (and members in CGU).
