Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Lin-Kou Medical Center is the largest and the leading hospital in Taiwan. Each surgeon at spine section of Orthopaedic department has completed an extensive spine fellowship program and has years of outstanding training and experience in the diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment of spine disorders including the neck (cervical spine), mid back (thoracic spine) and low back (lumbosacral spine) in adults as well as children. The specialists offer comprehensive care in all areas of spine problems on patients who suffer from spine trauma, degenerative disease (spinal stenosis, intervertebral disc herniation and spondylolisthesis), osteoporosis, deformity (scoliosis and kyphosis), infection, tumor and metastasis. Each year, the surgeons of spine team perform more than 3000 spine procedures from minimally invasive spine surgery to traditional procedures for the most challenging conditions of spine in this hospital. The type of treatment depends on the patient's degree of disease and a thorough physical examination and radiological examinations.
