INTRODUCTION :
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical department
in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was established in 1976 by its leading
pioneer Dr. Samuel Noordhorf. Over the past 30 years, it has developed
into a world renowned medical center that specializes in multiple
aspects of plastic surgery including microsurgical reconstruction,
craniofacial procedures, trauma management, burn care and cosmetic
surgery. Known for its professional service, cutting edge techniques
and academic achievements, it has trained over 900 plastic surgeons
from over 50 countries in the international community. The American
Society of Plastic Surgery has long recognized its contributions
and achievements, and has honored three of the senior staff for
their outstanding accomplishments in craniofacial surgery and microsurgery,
including pioneers Dr. Samuel Noordhorf, Dr. Yu Ray Chen and Dr.
Fu Chan Wei.
