Division of Kaohsiung, Chang Gung
Memorial Hospital was founded. So was the Department of Diagnostic
Radiology. In the beginning of foundation, there were only four normal
X-rays, an Intra-Venus Pyelogram (IVP), two Fluoro-Xrays, two Ultrasounds,
four portable X-rays, and a whole-body Computer Tomography in service.
At that time, Lee Tze-Yu M.D., director of the department, transferred
to a new post from Lin Ko with Lui Chun-Chung M.D., Huang Tung-Liang
M.D. and Wan Yong-Liang M.D. In addition, department personnel included
Chao Shih-yu, the director of technician, nine technologists, two
nurses, one typist and a darkroom technician. |

Acquired an X-ray for health examination and an Angiography. |
Feb. 1988 |
Acquired a Mammography and a Xeroradiography. |
Oct. 1991 |
Acquired a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner. |
Jun. 1994 |
Acquired a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA). |

The department was divided into Division of General Radiology and
Division of Neuroradiology, the division chiefs were Lee Tze-Yu M.D.
and Lui Chun-Chung M.D., respectively. |
Dec. 1994 |
Huang Tung-Liang M.D. returned from Mont Sinai
University, New York, U.S.A. He was then assigned to the Ultrasound
subspecialty. |
Nov. 1995 |
The Children Hospital was inaugurated. |
Jul. 1996 |
Kuo Yeh-Lin M.D. returned from California University,
San Francisco, U.S.A. and started the interventional neuroradiology. |
Jul. 1999 |
Lee Tze-Yu M.D. was promoted to vice superintendent of Chang Gung
Memorial Hospital in Kaohsiung. |
Jun. 2000 |
Division of Feng Shan, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
was inaugurated. |
Oct. 2000 |
Acquired a multisliced and whole-body Computer Tomography. |
Jul. 2001 |
Cheng Yu-Fan M.D. was promoted to the director
of Department of Diagnostic Radiology. Ko Sheung-Fat M.D. was also
promoted to the division chief of the Division of General Radiology. |
Dec. 2001 |
The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Jia Yi was inaugurated. Yang
Bo-Yao M.D. was appointed the director of Department of Diagnostic
Radiology with two radiologists and seven technologists from Kaohsiung. |
Jul. 2002 |
Lee Reng-Jye M.D. was promoted to division chief
of the Division of Neuroradiology. |
Jul. 2003 |
Cheng Yu-Fan M.D., director of the department, was appointed Professor,
Ministry of Education of Taiwan. |

Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
was put into practice and we entered the e-era. |

Ko Sheung-Fat M.D. was appointed Professor of Chang Gung Memorial
Hospital. |
