  In the first year, we have set up the following microscopic facilities that are available to all of the research principle investigators throughout Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Chang Gung University and so forth:
  (1) Upright confocal laser scanning microscope
  (2) Inverted multiphoton laser scanning microscope
  (3) Traditional transmission electron microscope
  (4) High resolution transmission electron microscope
  (5) High resolution scanning electron microscope

Nowadays, we give services as follows:

1. Consulting
2. Specimen processing for transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy
3. Assist to record specimen by electron microscopy, confocal microscopy

Furthermore, as proposed in the project, the purchasing of the new microscopic facilities, which is mainly for combining morphological and functional investigation, is going on. The facility includes three separate living cell recording systems, capable of recording traditional optical, fluorescent and electrical signals with CCD camera-video and multichannel electrical recording system.

In addition to assisting investigators in recording biomedicine images, we are very enthusiastic at applying for international certification. We received an Endorsement of Compliance with the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in the areas of Toxicity Studies and Clinical Testing in 2009. In order to meet the international standards and publish reports recognized in the world, in the future, we will also apply for certification, such as ISO17025, ISO9001, etc.
