Introduction

The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is located in Guei Shan near Linkou, just 20-30 minutes away from Taoyuan (TPE) Airport. Taxis and limousine are available from the airport to the Chang Gung Hospital and Hotels. Taoyuan branch is approximately 10 minutes away from the main hospital in Linkou.

Weather

The temperature range in Taipei is 23-36oC (73-96oF) in the month of September and October. It is sunny most of the time.

Phone

Mobile phone coverage is relatively good in Taiwan. Taiwan has both GSM 900/1800 and 3G networks and roaming might be possible for users of such mobile phones, subject to agreements between operators. Most payphones work with telephone cards which are available at all convenience stores.

Health Certificates

Travelers coming from or passing through cholera-infested countries or regions require valid international certificates of inoculation.

Visas for Taiwan are obtainable from its embassies or related trade offices. For participants having difficulty obtaining a visa due to lack of Taiwan consular services in their home country, may wish to contact with the secretariat.
