With over 200 techniques available for examining different muscles and joints, it is impractical to accurately remember them all. But now there is a shortcut: The 3-Minute Musculoskeletal & Peripheral Nerve Exam is a clear, concise, and accessible reference for conducting a thorough musculoskeletal and peripheral nerve examination in a clinical setting.

# Covering a comprehensive collection of the conditions for which a patient would seek medical care, The 3-Minute Musculoskeletal & Peripheral Nerve Exam features:Small, discreet trim size, perfect for quick review prior to seeing a patient; Extensive use of detailed photographs for each exam; A section on the American Spinal Cord Injury Association examination and classification protocols; An illustrative tutorial on gait and posture; A comprehensive table of clinically relevant muscles and their action, location for EMG/Botox needle placement and nerve/root innervation; A quick reference guide to all of these conditions and procedures.

The 3-Minute Musculoskeletal & Peripheral Nerve Exam will aid in the evaluation of joint problems through physical exam maneuvers and will teach the detection of muscle weakness and the examination of peripheral nerves and reflexes. It is an essential means of quick reference for residents and clinicians in physiatry, neurology, pain medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, and family practice.

The Paper Office is already a classic in the field, but this fourth edition kicks it up to the next level. Zuckerman has packed this book full of helpful forms, checklists, and important information that all clinicians need to know. Best of all, it is written for both early-career clinicians and seasoned veterans. Graduate training programs committed to preparing their students for the real work of clinical practice would be wise to make this text mandatory reading.

The Paper Office is a comprehensive, hands-on resource for both the novice and seasoned clinician. The fourth edition incorporates changes in clinical practice, changes in relevant case law and statutes, and updated references to the literature. Zuckerman assists the clinician in developing and maintaining a state-of-the-art clinical practice, including record-keeping procedures that cover everything from each step of the treatment process through the closing of your practice at retirement. I have relied on The Paper Office for years, and will use the ideas in this newest edition to update my current practice! I recommend that clinicians from all areas of mental health embrace the ideas and consider using the forms contained in this highly useful book.

Drawing on his years of working with hospitals, Mark Graban explains why and how lean can be used to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in a healthcare setting. After highlighting the benefits of lean methods for patients, employees, physicians, and the hospital itself, he explains how lean manufacturing staples such as Value Stream Mapping and process observation can help hospital personnel identify and eliminate waste in their own processes, effectively preventing delays for patients, reducing wasted motion for caregivers, and improving the quality of care. Additionally, Graban describes how Standardized Work and error-proofing can prevent common hospital errors and details root cause problem-solving and daily improvement processes that can engage all personnel in systemic improvement. A unique guide for healthcare professionals, this book clearly elaborates the steps they can take to begin the proactive process of lean implementation.
