Test Hypothesis
Message posted by Timmy (via 152.163.201.74) on July 8, 2001 at 2:43 PM (ET)

I am having a tough time with this problem please help.

A Researcher, under the guise of a participant, joined two "singles clubs" to test the advertised superiority of one over the other. He observed several patrons from each club and noted their dating status (single or dating) after one month in the club. The data are as follows:

Club A Club B
NO. 126 157
# dating 41 74

Number observed in Club A was
126 # observed in Club B 157

#dating in Club A was 41 # dating in Club B was 74

Test the hypothesis the Club B
is more successful in initiating acquaintances than Club A. ( Use .05 and two tailed) THANKS
