I have 29 subjects, a measure with 23 dichotimous items, and a measure with 8 likert scale items. I want to see if there are assoications between responses on all items. Can i do this? Which test(s) should i use?

Are you sure that you really have a likert scale ? In any case, try using a chi-squared test for independence. Use your two scales as catagories and the subjects as frequencies.
