reliability
Message posted by edwin (via 202.188.198.244) on March 22, 2001 at 8:50 AM (ET)

I have a test consisting of six items. It is a criterion-referenced test that is administered after a 30 minute period of teaching. I have a class of 44 students taught using 4 different methods of teaching(11 in each group). How do I go about measuring reliability? Using SPSS I am getting a reliability of 0.55. Is relaibility appropriate for me? Are the number of items or sample size too small? The six items are also divided into 2 questions which are similar to the ones taught in the classroom and 4 questions which need further thinking although using the same skills. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Ed.
