The Cartoon Guide to Statistics

This isn't some dumb-downed whitewash. It's a must-read for a beginner taking his or her first steps toward understanding stats.

Does it make a difference?
Message posted by Carol on November 23, 2000 at 12:00 AM (ET)

I submitted this question earlier but I still need to know how to solve the following:

The U.S. National Center for Health Statistics in Vital Statistics of the United States says that there is roughly an 80% chance that a person who is now age 20 will live to be age 65. How many of them would you expect to live to age 65?

Can this problem be solved and what formula would I use?
