The Cartoon Guide to Statistics

This isn't some dumb-downed whitewash. It's a must-read for a beginner taking his or her first steps toward understanding stats.

dataset (urgent)
Message posted by baz on November 20, 2000 at 12:00 AM (ET)

I have the following data set. What model do I use for it and how do I implement the model (from somebody who knows less than he should about stats)? If anybody is familiar with S-plus, related info on how to implement this analysis would be helpful,
Thanks heaps,
Baz

The requirement is to test whether rocking of babies is significant to crying stopping, taking the days as independent variables.
I’m aware that last night when I wrote this, it wasn’t clear, so I rewrote it. A= day, B= no. of babies, C= no. not crying, D= no. rocked, E= no. rocked not crying
