What are the importance of statistics in Chemical Engineers?

Any data ananlysis problem in which error and variability are important has to use statistical and probilistic procedures. See some book of statistics for chemical engineers, etc.

If in the field of Chemical Engineering that product, process, or testing exhibit no variation, then statistics has no value. However, if variation does exist in these areas, then how to parition and undertand the sources of variation with statistics has extremely high value.
