Interesting site. Looking for some "laymen" materials on stats and how to use it for analysis. Can you recommend some "Easy to use stats" books and software packages for analyzing customer and prospect data in the business to business environment?

For software that would do some of your basic stat procedures, I would
recommend using EXCEL. Unless you can get a hold of a copy of Minitab,
Statgraphics or PC/SAS. These are all menu driven Stat packages for the PC.

As far as books to recommend, I would look for the following text:
"Statistics for Management and Economics," by Mendenhall, Reinmuth, Beaver
Duxbury Press, ISBN: 0-534-93299-1

The focus of the book is statistical problem solving as it applies to
various business aspects.

Statistics for Business and Economics by McClave, Benson and Sincich is also another excellent book.
