What's Pairwise Chi-Square Tests or Ryan's procedure?
When and How it should be used, and What term it is commonly called by?

I am not sure what Ryan's procedure involves, but chi-squared involves testing if a frequency distribution matches a theoretical frequency distribution and using the fact that a binomial distribution can be approximated by a normal distribution.

Ryans procedure is for specific comparison with frequency data. It is the counter part to a Scheffe test for continous data.
