How do you statistically compare age-adjusted rates?
Message posted by KAthleen on July 27, 2000 at 12:00 AM (ET)

How do you statistically compare age-adjusted rates? What is you do not know all the person-time that went into creating the age-adjusted rate? I have the total number of cases and age-adjusted rates for whites and blacks and was curious if they are statistically different rather than just saying whites had a higher rate than blacks. Can you help?
