Ideas for Stats project

I am still looking for an ideafor my Statistics project.
To be more specific I need two things that I can compare
against each other.

Can you chose any subject for this project? If so you could find out some statistics on the number of black people in prison for a certain crime or just in general in comparison to the number of white people in prison for the same crime or just in general. I don't know if that is what you meant by a stats project but maybe that helped you.
