How to find the median

I need help on finding the median of this problem. The class limits are 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, and 27. The frequencies are 20, 18, 8, and 4. I know the formula for the median is MD=(n/2)-cf divided by f times (the width which I think is 5) plus L1( the lowest boundary which is 16.) PLEASE HELP ME!!!

it is easier if you remember
the basic definition of the
median. the median is the
value such that half the
samples are above it and half
are below it.

In your case, you had 50
samples, so you need a number
for which 25 samples are above
and 25 below it. Now go
through the data using the
frequencies and find that
value. Should now be an easy
problem for you
