Important ? about type of data set
Message posted by Darci on January 30, 2000 at 12:00 AM (ET)

I am confused about 2 types of data sets.. I am able to see what a time series data set is,but i seem to not be able to find out what a cross-sectional data set is. What is the difference between the two? thank you so much

In time series studies, we observe (make measurements on) the same individual or organization repeatedly across time. In a cross-sectional study, all measurements are made at once, with no follow-up period.
