I am currently in a masters study program and need to get my hands on a user friendly stats software program. Got any suggestions?

Minitab and NCSS (Number Cruncher) are fairly user friendly, yet complete. I think you can download a 30 day trial version of Minitab from their website. It is usually one version old.

If your needs aren't enormous -- a huge datafile, complex analysis -- a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3 will produce basic statistics for you, easily.
