Sample size to represent a seedlot
Message posted by Jack Betten on December 13, 1999 at 12:00 AM (ET)

If I want to be 95% sure that the seedlot I am testing has a contaminant level that is =< .5% (1 in 200). Number of seeds in a lot 112,000,000. How many seeds do I have to test.

You should test more than 190 seeds and not find a single contaminate seed.
