degrees of freedom:no numbers allowed
Message posted by Carol Fredrikson on October 29, 1999 at 12:00 AM (ET)

Hi everyone! Thankyou for all of your help.
Luckily the question did not appear on my mid-term,
however it will then be on my final.

So my professor loved the answers I got, however how
would I state what degrees of freedom is without using
a single number in the explanation.

Please e-mail me if you know how I should do this:

How about this explanation. If a person can only answer yes or no, how many questions do you need to ask them to get their age to the nearest year.
