Sampling Sizes.

If i wish to do some sampling to determine the biomass of fish in an aquaculture cage with the normal standard deviation in weights....what sample size do i require to get 99% accuracy ?

I presume you mean 99% confidence. You also have to determine the margin of error (+/-) and you have to guess the population standard deviation and decide if the population is very large in comparison with the sample.
The usual formulas assume a simple random semple is being considered. In any case all this theory only applies to probabilistic sampling. There is no sample size computation for judgement sampling or convenience sampling.
