stats on e-quakes
Message posted by Andrew Marshall on September 22, 1999 at 12:00 AM (ET)

this is my question.
i was reading newsweek(bill gates issue)and there was a story on the earthquake in turkey. on the very next page they gave a map with other catastrofic e-quakes around the world. china has lost over 1 million people in the past hundred years. what stats can you give me on the effects on a culture that suffers from exponential growth.
in other words, do the people of this country have any idea what loss really is when it comes to natural disasters?
give me some stats...
