which statistical test should be done? and why?

I am arguing with my friend over which statistical test I should perform in this experiment:

Exerperiment. Words are flashed on the screen, some words are masked and others were not. Students have to then recall the words.

What idea are you testing, what are you measuring, and how are you measuring it ?

the experiemnt is used to measure iconic memory, It is measure by seeing if recall accuracy is affected by the the "mask". It is measured by students observing flashing words, whcih some are masked and some aren't, and then report how many maksed words they were able to identify correctly and how many unmasked words were recalled accurately.
