Finding a sample size
Message posted by Janice M (via 64.228.106.80) on January 6, 2002 at 12:07 AM (ET)

A researcher must configure a sample size in a study where the most important variable is household income. Results are to be reported with 95% confidence and a $500 error term. For this study area, previous studies provide an estimate std. deviation of income of $4,467. How many households should the researcher obtain for the sample?
