Message posted by Peter (via 64.228.103.73) on January 5, 2002 at 2:17 AM (ET)

The dean has decided to provide tuition scholarships to those students scoring above the 95th percentile on GPA. What GPA score qualifies a student for a scholarship?

Given: A random sample of college campus with X=GPA, the distribution of X is normal, mean=2.65, sx=0.35 GPA

Can you explain where the 1.64 comes from?

Thanks,
Peter
