tying together studies for a systematic review I have volunteered myself (always a daft thing to do!)to do a systematic review of effectiveness of a treatment which is not standardized, apart from a common type of exercise , for a condition which can have several subtypes and several types of outcome measure. I am expecting to have problems with subgroup analyses and heterogenicity testing but I don't know what other types of analysis to use. I am not expecting a simple answer but an indication of a helpful direction would be much appreciated.
