Can anyone help me with this one?
Suppose the following information is available for two samples drawn from independent distributions.
n1 = 16, S12 = 47.3, n2 = 13, S22 = 36.4
Test the following hypothesis at the 5% level of significance.
One tailed test:
Ho: s12 < or = s22
H1: s12 > s22

You need to do the "F-test," in which you calculate the ratio s1/s2 or s2/s1 (whichever is greater) and compare with critical values of the F distribution. Looking up "F test" on the internet should give you full details. Statsoft.com has a very good online stats textbook that explains things like this well.
