急重症影像學

急重症醫學，近年來發展益蓬勃，而影像醫學在急重症醫學，具舉足輕重之角色。本科在前李子瑜主任之努力，開創台灣之先例，在民78年12月開始，全年無休每日均有專責主治醫師，提供影像醫學及介入性治療，深獲本院同仁推崇。除重視治療服務，亦投入急重症影像學之研究。

早期有李子瑜醫師在Abdominal Imaging發表肝膿瘍及萬永亮主任在Radiology發表產氣性腎盂炎之論文，近年亦有多篇刊載於急重症SCI醫學雜誌。並積極與小兒急診、急診內科、外傷科、婦產科等相關科別共同投入急重症病人之臨床診斷及介入性診療的研究，如在脾出血經導管栓塞、肝癌破裂出血栓塞、產後出血栓塞、前置胎盤出血栓塞、小兒腸阻塞、腹部鈍傷及睪丸移位、頭頸靜脈出血之電腦斷層所見等。

產後大出血的介入治療

　　產後大出血為生產過程中罕見但緊急之併發症，本科部與婦產科密切合作提供緊急子宮動脈栓塞治療以停止出血，免除產婦接受子宮切除手術且。為高屏地區唯一全年全天候提供本項服務之醫學中心。
