Endocrine & metabolic problems, screening for diabetes, and
its complications are included in service of our OPD.
Members in our department are familiar with the treatment of
diabetes and its complications, and hyperlipidemia. We can
examine ankle-brachial pressure, eye fundus, and blood
glucose profile for 72 hours. Thyroid sonography and its
aspiration cytology are also done by us. We also specializes
in thyroid, pituitary, parathyroid, adrenal or other
endocrine diseases. Based on our professional and
facilities, we can cover various diseases, including
diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, metabolic syndrome,
thyroid disorder, osteoporosis, acromegaly, growth hormone
deficiency, adrenal insufficiency, Cushing syndrome, gonadal
dysfunction and so on. In our ward, we care patients with
diabetes or endocrine diseases. We also perform endocrine
laboratory test to investigating some endocrine disease. A
collaborative team, including plasty surgeon, CVS specialist
and dietitians, is responsible for care patients with
chronic unhealing wound in our ward.
A medical center has been set up to deliver integrated
diabetic care. We provide patients with diabetic nutritional
education programs, and a integrated team for caring chronic
unhealing wound. Besides, lectures and training programs are
provided for those who qualify for diabetic educators.
Due to we paid attention to the diagnosis and
management of endocrine and metabolic diseases, our patients
had clinical improvement and good prognosis. We would like
to advance in basic research, which can lead us to
understand these diseases more clearly. Since we have a
large numbers of patients with endocrine and metabolic
diseases, we will do our best to care those patients. |
