Our hematological team includes four certificated
hematologists and one laboratory technician. Our team offers
medical service to patients with hematologic problems,
including:
1. Diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant
hematologic disorders
2. Chemotherapy and target therapies for patients with
hematologic malignancies
3. Autologous stem cell transplantation for patients in
need
4. Clinical trials that include novel agents or experimental
regimens
Our hematology lab performs hemostatic tests as well as
various coagulation factor assays. We offer the exams to
diagnose hematologic
malignancies, including bone marrow aspiration cytology,
cytochemical stains, flow cytometric study, cytogenetic
study and genetic analysis.
Division of Hematology-Oncology was founded in 1986 .Now it
is one of the most important cancer care centers in southern
Taiwan. Our division includes four hematologists and ten
medical oncologists. In addition, we devote to the
development of training programs for subspecialists under
the framework of general oncology. The main work of our
daily practice is to serve outpatient and inpatient of solid
tumors. Our physicians provide professional and
subspecialized medical services, including the diagnosis of
malignancy, cancer management (chemotherapy and targeted
therapy), and palliative cares. Furthermore, for the good of
patients, we actively participate in multi-divisional teams
and multi-disciplinary combined clinic to facilitate the
paradigm of diagnosis and treatment and to provide the best
treatment for the patients. Currently, we also initiate or
join many clinical trials, and conducting translation
researches.
