The Division of General Medicine in Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was established in 2006. We care adult patients with a wide range of internal medical problems. At present, there are five fixed attending physicians who are subspecialists separately in nephrology, gastroenterology and hepatology, cardiovascular medicine and infectious disease. One of our objectives is to provide environment for teaching and training purposes. The physicians in the division devote most of their time on bedside teaching and training for UGY students, PGY residents and development of clinical teacher. Supervision in the setting of graduate medical education has the goals of assuring the provision of safe and effective care to the individual patient; assuring each resident’s development of the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to enter the unsupervised practice of medicine; and establishing a foundation for continued professional growth. We employ team resource management to improve patient care. We wish more young physicians with enthusiasm would like to join our team to attain the purpose of patient centered, total medicare serives.
