科系特色 
   Brief Introduction of the Deparmtnet
         林口長庚精神科系包含一般精神科、兒童心智科、社區及復健精神科三個科，並設有服務全院的自殺防治中心。

         本科系跳脫國內精神科以精神病診療為主的傳統，發展以身心醫學及情感疾患為重心的「綜合醫院精神醫學 (General Hospital Psychiatry)」。為國內「身心疾患」、「憂鬱症」及「焦慮症」的重要臨床與研究中心。 

科系特色：

  • 全方位的兒童精神醫療照護中心：由幼兒至青少年，提供一貫的專業照護，在自閉症與注意力缺損過動症上尤為傑出。
  • 身心醫療團隊：為成人精神醫療最大特色，在睡眠醫學、身體疾病相關精神醫療 (psychiatry and medicine)、男性身心醫學、婦女身心醫學、腫瘤心理學上皆有完備專精的醫療團隊。
  • 情緒障礙診治團隊：亦為本科系重要特色，在憂鬱症、焦慮症、恐慌症、自殺防治上擁有最多專家，並持續引進最先進治療模式，如經顱磁刺激術(rTMS)等。
  • 災難醫學：本科系參與921震災、新航空難、SARS疫情等重大災難心理衛生服務，在臨床、學術上皆有第一手的貢獻與經驗。
  • 網路精神醫學：本科系為國內投入網路精神醫學的先鋒之一。目前主持5個重要精神醫學網站，並參與全球最大華人心理衛生網站「心靈園地」之運作。


         科系全體同仁本著「以病人為中心」的理念，提供最完善的醫療服務。秉承「臨床」、「教學」、「研究」並進之原則，以成為世界一流精神醫學中心之目標自我期許。

 The Chang Gung Medical Center Department of Psychiatry was founded in 1978  by Dr. Simon Lee，  who had worked as a staff psychiatrist in United States for 5 years.    After 30 years， it has  become one of the best academic psychiatric departments in TAIWAN.   Currently， the Department has three major components: 
1. Section of General Psychiatry ， 
2. Section of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. and
3. Section of Rehabilitation & Community Psychiatry ， 
          There are also two centers in the Department: 
1. Center for Suicide Prevention ， and 
2. Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (at Taoyuan Branch) 


It is an interdisciplinary behavioral sciences department， which serves as a teaching， research  and medical service center of mental health. 

The Department has three outpatient centers (at Taipei， Linko， and Taoyuan branch)， an acute inpatient unit with 25 beds， a day care center for adult psychotic patients and another day care center for children with autism.  In the Taoyuan branch， we also have a long stay ward with 100 beds. 

CGMH Psychiatry  has a national reputation in the fields of General Hospital
Psychiatry and Mood disorders.  The following are some programs of excellence: 

  • Center for Depressive Disorders， 
  • Sleep Disorder Clinic， 
  • Psychiatry and Medicine Program， 
  • Autism Center， 
  • Women's Mental Health Program
  • Men's Mental Health Program， and
  • Disaster Mental Health Services
Our multidisciplinary team responds to each patient with a commitment to individualized treatment that may include pharmacotherapy， individual psychotherapy， couple therapy， group therapy， occupational therapy， electro-convulsive therapy， and other advanced biological treatments， e.g.， transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS)， and deep brain stimulation (DBS). The clinical programs serve a large and diverse population. We are also concerned with family， and other social facts affecting mental health， and with the moral issues that arise in the practice of modern medicine.

The CGMH Psychiatry has a major commitment to clinical services， research and education.  The tradition at this Department is that of academic excellence.  We provide most-up-to-date treatments for mental disorders， and always maintain a humanistic orientation toward patient care.  The goal of the education programs is to develop highly competent mental health workers and leaders.
