The department is firmly committed to the pursuit of scientific research， which significantly strengthens all educational programs. The principal research groups in the Department are concerned with depressive disorders， headache， attention deficit disorder， old age psychiatry， women's mental health， men's mental health， sleep medicine， and neuropsychiatry (brain stimulation and neuroimaging).

Investigators in the Department are actively involved in both clinical and basic research studies in all these areas of investigation. We also have several excellent research teams continued to involve in industry-sponsored global trials.
